History came calling.
So we answered. In partnership with Marvel Studios,
our silk tapestries graced the shoulders of king t’Challa
(portrayed by Chadwick Boseman) in black panther.
The Impact of a Purposeful
dream
Our scarves had previously been seen as ornate symbols which celebrate the inherent beauty of marginalized and displaced people. With Black Panther, the work was offered a more aspirational context: to be worn by a royal figure who embodied the regality of the African continent.
Henceforth, our scarves appeared everywhere:
At weddings. At graduations. And even at funerals, where silk wrapped bodies were sent on with the deepest respect.
One cannot plan to leave such a cultural imprint.
The best any of us to hope for is the freedom to create
with an open heart
and the opportunity for one’s intention to be received.
Thoughtfully crafted to elevate what matters most.
